NeoCon is a yearly trade show that connects buyers and sellers in the commercial interiors industry. Kristen and I attend it regularly, and we noticed that NeoCon 2016 was far busier than it has been in prior years. It was an exciting show, buzzing with creativity. Neocon 2015 Product Trend Review
Neocon is the largest commercial interiors show in North America, held once a year in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart. Buzzing with excitement and attracting a global audience, it includes exhibitors such as Knoll, Vitra and Herman Miller. Hundreds of new products are launched here every year, making it a great place to note design trends important in the contract furniture industry.

ICFF 2015: Color and Material Trends

In keeping with our Neocon visit, we wanted to share with you the Neocon trends in office interiors. We love the direction that the spaces are going, blurring the boundaries between work and home. The personal and public spaces have so much personality.

2014 Neocon Color Review
This month, we flew to Chicago to take in all the eye candy at Neocon, and what a trip! We spoke with quite a few people who agreed that the show seemed more lively this year… perhaps this is what we saw translate into color as well.
NEOCON COLOR – EARTH TONES: We saw plentitudes of bright and saturated primary and secondary colors, as well as a gorgeous array of earth tones. Wood and bright felt ruled the show, complemented by sophisticated shades of gray. We sense a “farm to table in the office” trend emerging, with sleek and rustic colors and materials reminiscent of wood and reclaimed steel. Continue reading
